OUR U PICK PRICE IS $2.70 PER POUND. We have a limited number of pre-picked blueberries available at our farm stand. [the weather has not helped us this year]
We accept cash, check and credit card.
The winter of 2022-2023 was another busy one here on the farm. First thing is we had a well drilled that is the first step in the irrigation project. In the southeast corner of the field we added a native plant pollinator garden. It is not totally complete yet but is really looking lovely and we hope to educate people on the bees that pollinate our blueberry blossoms. We continue to prune and rehabilitate the bushes. We did a spring fertilization and are cleaning up the bushes for the best picking experience we can provide. On May 18th we did have a freeze as many are aware. It did cause some damage and loss to the berries. At this point it looks like we will have enough blueberries to satisfy everyone as the blueberries appear to be ripening well.
We are USDA organic certified through Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association. OEFFA for short. Our lower field is leased out to a local farmer and is also certified through OEFFA and planted in soybean this year.
FOR THE KIDS: We love to see the kids out here picking with their parents or grandparents. Come out and find Grandma Blueberry who stands out as the tallest blueberry bush in the field. We haven’t measured her yet for her 2023 reading. We will have rocks painted with blueberries again this year-find one and win a prize. This year we will have youth sized t-shirts for sale that say “I picked berries at Bridge Avenue Berries”.
